About ME
Hi!
I'm Alex, a 29 year old cabinet maker specialising in bespoke fitted furniture, based in Ilminster, Somerset.
My passion for woodworking was discovered in 2016 beginning with some basic DIY. From there, I constantly pushed myself and took on more and more challenging jobs, trying to absorb as much knowledge as I could. I moved to joinery, building windows & doors, then to fine furniture, using traditional & modern methods alike. It was late 2019 where I discovered my true calling within woodworking - cabinet making.
Completely handmade
I have a keen eye for design & detail and strive for perfection within everything I make. I use my background knowledge in choosing the right methods & materials for specific jobs. For example, I build traditional 'loose panel' doors rather than faux panel doors with components simply glued on top of one another. The loose panel method allows for timber movement and results in a door that will last, won't warp & will continue to look fantastic for decades to come.
Gathered experience
I pride myself on my honesty & integrity. Running a small business requires many skill sets besides the main product and I call upon my previous work experience within sales & communication, and most recently as a fire fighter.
My goal is to create a simple & personalised experience for all of my customers, delivering high quality workmanship with a premium service.
